Feather series #2- Mottled color!

Here is #2 of my feather color series. This is a very fun and easy technique that I made up.

You do a simple tight braid, leaving a couple inches on the end loose. You coat it in bleach, without saturating the whole braid. Saturate the loose end. Wrap it in foil. Rinse braid and shampoo it well, without unraveling.

Squeeze water out. Then, take your special effects color of choice and work it into the braid. Let it sit for a little while, then rinse out and condition. Unravel the braid, and you have a fantastically mottled speckly color pattern all over the peice you braided, with a bright and colorful end!
