MAJOR transformation. I posted this photo on facebook before the feather-craze had hit my town. For 6 months after, everyone wanted feathers.
First, the more adventurous style setters wanted them. Then, they went all mainstream really fast. By the end of the year, it was the most coveted trend in elementary schools. By then I was a bit bored of them and started designing more interesting feather hair accessories.
Anyway, they were fun while they lasted, and looked fabulous against panel colored hair. It maximized the exotic birdlike affect.
