Transformation #2. Super hero hair.

Here is my next transformation volunteer, Lorna. She hadn’t had a haircut in years as you can see. She recently had a baby son, and was really ready for a little hair excitement.

I started by putting her hair in a ponytail at the nape of her neck and cutting it off, just to get rid of excess weight and bulk. Then, I started in with her color. I began by sectioning out an obtuse triangle on the right side of her head, with three points at the temple, the front right side of her part, and about the middle side of her head.

I sliced foil panels with through the triangle. Then, I colored everything else with a semi-permanent level 3 dark brown. Then, I shampooed her, dried her, applied Cherry Bomb by Special Effects over the bleached section. I let her sit a while, then rinsed her out well and conditioned her.

Then, betty bangs and a classic A-line bob, with an asymmetrical side. The long side came to below her jaw, and I undercut a semi-circular section around her ear and sideburn area on the short side, just to add a bit more drama for this mama.

I think she looks marvelous!!
