DIY friday! Princess buttercup: the topsy-twisted half crown

This pretty hairstyle works on hair that is nape length or longer, and on all hair types. It involves a topsy tail technique, which can be done without using an actual ‘topsy tail”

It basically means that you make a ponytail, then reach through the top of the base of the ponytail and grab the end, and pull it through, so it twists both sides. May I suggest that you adorn this pretty half-crown hairstyle with a dainty flower crown?

First, you will divide the hair into 4 vertical sections, and secure them with small elastics into ponytails. Then, you will topsy tail all 4 ponytails. Then, beginning on one side, take the outside ponytail and half of the one next to it and twist it into a messy little bun, then pin it to secure.

Then, taking the last half of your second ponytail and the first half of the third, twist and pin another bun.

Now, take the last half of the third ponytail and the whole 4th ponytail, twist, and pin into a bun.

Pin in any loose pieces, and voila! a dynamic and beautiful twisted style. Add flowers to give it a bridal touch!
