Rundown houses and beautiful dresses. Paying homage to Francesca Woodman.

A while back, my friend and business partner Melissa Arens suggested that it was due time that I was the subject of a photo shoot. Me? HTHG? mother-in-pajamas? Are you sure about that? I had to channel my past self, a 21 year old lover of fashion, vintage dresses, red lipstick. My glamorous self before I got knocked up.

Thankfully, what she had in mind involved barely any makeup, wild hair, 120 year old white tattered dresses, out of focus black and white, an amazing photographer, and a good friend to pose next to me, the beautiful Marriah B. She does nudity so well, she inspired me to take it all off eventually. We jumped and crawled on the dirty floor. We bathed in old bathtubs filled of leaves and dirt. We made crowns of leaves. We laughed alot.

Here are some of Francesca’s photos….

The shoot was inspired by the late Francesca Woodman, an incredibly accomplished artist and creative genius young photographer who took her own life far too young. You can learn more about her by reading this article or watching The Woodman’s, a watch instantly documentary on Netflix. We are in awe of her spooky, out of focus, hauntingly beautiful photos, and did our best to pay homage, while adding our own creative input.

These photos will be used for promo for Mayapple boutiques involvement in Northwest Arkansas Fashion Week #NWAFW as well as Melissa Arens role as fashion directer of Artamiss, a local non-profit arts organization in NWA #Artamiss.

They will also be used by photographer Bob Cochran in his admission portfolio to Yale.
