Some favorites and also blind DIY hair-cutters.

Hi my dearie dears. It has been a while and I have been missing you. Here is the problem…..I’m doing so much hair,  I haven’t had time to write about doing hair. My heart is lonely when I am not writing and sharing. I am working on it. I have some really fun posts planned, I’m just waiting for the time to compile them.

In the meantime, I want to check in to say hi and see how you all are doing this Spring, and share just a couple of my recent favorites. They are mostly before and afters from Vain, and then a very special comment on a HTHG post that warms my heart. Also, just a couple photos from my new non-hair Instagram feed @filthandbeauty which is my hobby-photography feed so I can focus on just hair posts on my @howtohairgirl feed. I would love to have you join me on both feeds:)

Here is a wonderful comment from a blind HTHG reader. Yessssssssss ma’am. This is why I continue to blog at HTHG.

“Roxie; thank you so much. Your descriptions are very thorough & helpful. I’m blind, & was in serious need of a hair cut (unfortunately also in serious need of a winning lottery ticket) but after reading several sites, yours being most helpful, I couldn’t see why I couldn’t accomplish this. I first did the unicorn thing, drawing the hair to mid-nose. I have thick crazy auburn hair. This gave me full fluffy hair all over which I loved. Still too long in the back tho, so I made a pony tail center back neck, slid a 2nd elastic down the tail the length I wanted, & SNIP. YES! I feel so much better. I went from long frizzy stuff to neat mid-length smooth shiny hair. You’re awesome. Now my blind friends want to know how. I shared your link. ”

Stay tuned for more DIY hair and ramblings from yours truly.

xoxoxo, HTHG
