This hairstyle just slays me. Before I chopped my hair, I stumbled upon this super easy fake Victory Roll, and found that I could do it in less than one minute. It became my go-to dirty hair style for when I didn’t want to wear my hair down on the 4th day in between ShamPHree-in’

Remember the Victory Roll tutorial from a few years back? This is similar, but a little more of a futuristic take on the look.  I love that even though my hair is shorter now, I can still do this ‘do. If you want to achieve this hairstyle on shorter hair, you just need to have longer hair in the front than the back. I will share my shortie version soon:)

The Lazy Girl Vintage Roll

So as always, starting out with a misting of texture spray is a good idea to help control this roll and make it stay.

Start by sectioning off the top of the head, from above each ear across the back.

Take the entire top section, and twist it upward like you are going to do a quick french twist.

Continue twisting as you pull the twist forward.

Begin to wrap the ends of the twist into a bun on the top of your head. You don’t want it to be too tight, because you want it to be a large-ish bun that looks more like a roll. To get the roll effect, push the bun into the base of the twist , and gently pull out on the edges so that the bun is set back inside a bit.

Pin the bun into place. Use as many pins as you need to, but be discreet with them. Here is a ‘pin a bun’ tutorial:)

For extra sassy results, do this hairstyle on hair that has been pin-curled!
