Bangs!

Cutting your own bangs is a great place to start and experiment with DIY hair. Sooooo, I’ve decided to start a bang category and try and teach ya’ll every different style of bang I can think of! Bangs are great because they add a little drama to a ‘do. You can create any kind of mood by cutting different styles of bangs, without sacrificing your whole head ‘o hair.

Bangs are great if you are growing out your hair because they can satisfy the need to cut it when it gets to that awkward stage. Bangs can be cute, edgy, classy, sexy, serious….the list goes on and on. With all that said, we will start with a little demo of DIY bucket bangs!!

Bucket bangs are thick and straight across, generally right at or just above the brows. They then curve softly around the corners of the eyes and blend into the sides of the hair. They are blunt yet soft and feminine. They are hip and quite dramatic. They are easy to do and work well with straight and wavy hair. They look great with any cut, especially shaggy layers and shlobs. They are best for longish faces and great for widening narrow faces and creating the illusion of fullness in fine hair.
