Let’s first consider the condition that her hair is in. If it has been chemically processed twice in the last month or so, another chemical process is not a good idea immediately. So starting with dish soap-baking soda is a safe bet to begin the stripping of the black. It will dry the hair, so do a coconut oil treatment once a week, and dish soap-baking soda once a week for the next month. Then, we will re-evaluate the color and condition of her hair. At this point, It may be possible to use a chemical stripper to remove some more black, and then go over it with the red that you desire. After all of that, protein treatments and coconut oil treatments alternately once a week for another month to help restore vitality and strength.
