Hey babes. How are you all doing? I am good, just sippin’ green tea when all I really want is coffee. And thinking about easy hairstyles that are great for wintertime and cozy sweaters, sitting in front of a fireplace with a little cup of cocoa, or maybe coffee. Or possibly even a toddy of some sort. And I’m imagining that it is New Years Day.
This hairstyle comes to mind……..A 5 step little flip and roll, for hair that is shoulder length an longer. This hairstyle is neat and tidy and simple and lovely, try it next time you throw on your coziest sweater.
I can’t personally get enough of these sorts of these Scandinavian sweaters. I hit the mother load of them while cleaning out my dads closet this past year, and I’m thrilled to finally get to wear them, by the way. And paired with the hair, I get a bit of a 60’s in Aspen vibe. It’s good. It’s actually great, I think.
Start with 2nd or third day hair. Spray in some texture spray if your hair is slippery and doesn’t want to stay put.
Brush all your hair into a low ponytail. Secure with a hair band.
Open up a hole in the base of your ponytail, just above the band.
Flip the ponytail up and through the hole, and pull it out the bottom.
Now take the end of the ponytail and roll them up and around your pointer finger of your dominant hand. Catch the very ends with the other pointer, and begin to roll the hair up towards the scalp with your fingers.
Use 2 large bobby pins to pin the roll into the hair from each side, into the roll, securing it to the head.
Easy right? I thought you might like that one:)
