5 ways to sass up your sock bun.

I love the sock bun. It is such an easy way to fake super long thick hair in a polished style that you can wear all day. I also love sock bun curls, or any no heat curls for that matter. Lately though, I’ve seen too many sock buns around and they all look the same. Now tell me, what is the fun in wearing your hair like everyone else? Why not put your own signature on your hairstyle? No more of these shiny bagel heads making me hungry at lunchtime. Let’s get creative and think outside the bun.

Here are 5 ways to sass up your sock bun.

To begin with, make a sock bun. Only this time, leave out a section of hair at the front of the ponytail. Make your bun, and wrap the excess ends around the base of the bun, and pin them out of the way.

Now, let’s experiment with this section of hair left out.

You can make 2 braids, criss-cross them once around the front of the bun and pin them.

You can make 2 twists and criss-cross them once around the front, or criss-cross them across the top of the bun, and make a hot cross bun.

You know what else you can do? Make a fishtail braid and wrap it around one side of the bun, or even over the top and pin it in the back.

You can accessorize your bun, tie a bow around it with this easy scarf bow trick, stick flowers in it. Put a bird on it. Whatever you want. Just do something different. Do you have any grand bun sassing ideas? Please share!

Hope you had a good weekend!
